Today is February 1, 2012, the number on the scale this morning said 196.8 pounds.

MCBrandt5: I'm an Irish Catholic. To me, that means a happy-go-lucky Christian. I have seven siblings, four children, and three grandchildren. I've been blogging since 2007, when I won a contest, Weigh In To Win (WITW) that required me to journalize my weight loss journey on WTOL's WITW blog page. In spring of 2014, I gave up facebook for lent and started writing 40 days without facebook. Near the end of the forty days, my daughter Haylee was struck by a car while walking her dog and died at the age of 30. Since then, this strand has become an outlet of my newly changed life. I find writing therapeutic and hope that what I share may help others.
